Mary Crane: A Lasting Debt of Gratitude
Article

Will S. Monroe was the first President of The Great Pyrenees Club of America.

The Great Pyrenees Club of America had been organized and formed in the past year and the new Club had just published an outstanding breed handbook.

President Monroe wrote an introduction for the new book and it is from President Monroe's introduction we provide an excerpt, an excerpt with which we wholeheartedly agree.

President Monroe wrote:
"Certainly our members will agree with their president that Mrs Crane has placed us all under a lasting debt of gratitude for her untiring labors for the breed and the club, as well as for the competence with which she has edited our first Handbook",

"Mrs Crane has placed us all under a lasting debt of gratitude
for her untiring labors for the breed and the club..."

Throughout our near half century with Great Pyrenees, from "Day 1 to Present", we felt our own personal "lasting debt of gratitude" to Mary Crane for making possible our Great Pyrenees dogs that we enjoyed and cherished for so many years.

And on several occasions we did express our personal gratitude to Mary, both in personal conversations and in correspondence with our breed's founder.
